“Singing has been such an important part of my life since I was a child, and I really hoped it would be the same for my daughter. She was nervous about the Youth Chorale when she started, but was a confident soloist at her first concert! Now I can’t get her to stop singing, and we enjoy singing together in harmony. She has learned a tremendous amount from Valerie, but most of all I’m excited that she loves singing as much as I do.”
“He just loved to be involved with this chorus. He not only learned from the different music but also experienced the making of friends.”
“This was my daughter’s first year with SVYC It was a wonderful opportunity for her to work with other children that share her same passion for music. The staff’s dedication to the program, the children and the experience was showcased in the performance.
“He just loved to be involved with this chorus… He not only learned about the different music but also experienced the making of friends.”
“Everything regarding our experience having two daughters in SVYC and Camp eXpresso for years has been priceless. When struggling with so many activity choices my daughters make it clear…”I can’t NOT do Chorale.” Our family will be forever grateful to Valerie and the SVYC for the confidence they helped build in the hearts, minds, and souls of our precious daughters. All children should be this fortunate.
“From a parent’s perspective, I’ve been thrilled with my daughter’s experience in the SVYC for the past two years! The community of singers and teachers is positive and creative. Not only has she learned a lot, and had fun (she even appreciates the many hours of rehearsal leading up to a performance) she’s grown in confidence and skill. We wouldn’t miss this opportunity to participate in such an excellent program!”
“Just wanted to say thank you for putting together a program that inspires singing and music in young children. The concerts were great!”
“I was so happy that I was able to hear the SV Youth Chorale. It was such a wonderful performance to see young people exposed to learning how to sing without the voice being forced and to hear the beautiful sounds.”
